Happy Van Sickle's real estate career began in 1983 after moving to Chatham from Ridgewood, New Jersey. 

She and her husband, Dave, launched Chatham Village Realty on June 15, 1986.  She holds both the GRI and CRS designations and served for several years as chairperson of the Chatham Multiple Listing Service.  In addition to her real estate career, Happy served two terms on the Chatham Planning Board.  The Van Sickles are members of Eastward Ho! Country Club, Chatham Platform Tennis Club, and John's Island Club, Indian Rivers Shores, Fl. 

During their early years in Chatham, Happy and Dave organized and directed for several years a youth group at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church.  She and Dave were members of the Chatham First Night Committee in the early years of its existence.  Their son Randy Van Sickle joined the company in 1998, and currently serves as manager.

Happy has sold and listed many millions of dollars of Chatham real estate.  Her hobbies include tennis, platform tennis, golf, gardening, knitting, rug hooking, and most important of all, her family.

Her primary professional claim to fame is the high regard in which she is held by her many buyers and listers, who frequently remind her of her noblest of sales' pitches:  We do not sell you a house, we sell you a life-style, CHATHAM!
